Our Story
Boston IBC Tanks was founded in 2009 by Robert Mitchell, a veteran of the industrial container industry who saw an opportunity to better serve businesses in the Greater Boston area. Starting with just 50 tanks and a single truck, Robert built the company on a foundation of quality, integrity, and exceptional customer service.
In the early years, we focused on building relationships with local manufacturers, food processors, and chemical companies. Word spread quickly about our fair pricing, honest assessments, and reliable service. By 2015, we had outgrown our original facility and moved to our current 25,000 square foot location, complete with dedicated areas for inspection, reconditioning, storage, and shipping.
